Registration of a Death
Once the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) has been agreed by the Medical Examiner’s Office it will be sent electronically to the Registration Service. Only once this MCCD has been received and logged by them, can an appointment be made to visit a local Registration Office. You have 5 working days from the registrar receiving the MCCD to register. At this meeting all the usual questions will be asked. If a ‘Green Certificate’ issued – please ask that this be emailed to us, as your Funeral Director. Certified copied of the Entry of Death (often called Death Certificates) can be purchased for £12.50 per copy.
